AVD-Seal.ps1 prepares a Master Image for deployment in a stateless environment. It should be run before generalizing the Virtual Machine and creating a managed image for deployment to Virtual Machine Scale Sets using AVDManage.
The following tasks are performed before running sysprep and shutting down the VM.
- Disables update services (Edge, Chrome, OneDrive, Windows & Office)
- Disables maintenance and update tasks
- Disables Task Offloading, Machine Passwords and IPv6
- Resets Microsoft Message Queuing if installed
- Removes Ghost hardware
- Empties Recycle Bin
- Clears Branch Cache
- Resets Windows Search
- Removes temporary files
- Adds local administrators to FSLogix ODFC and Profile exclude groups)
- Configures and clears event logs
- Runs sysprep
After the Virtual Machine has shutdown, stop and deallocate the Virtual Machine before creating an Image.
